The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) serves as the preeminent technology think-tank where executives discuss ideas, innovate, and solve technology issues that lead to bigger business. TCM has more than 600 member companies representing more than 200,000 forward thinkers. 

Tech Council of Maryland members are from biotechnology, advanced technology, government, academia and the service provider industry.  TCM's goal is to create an environment where technology companies meet, learn and collaborate and to be Maryland's best technology networking organization.

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members.

The Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA) represents a wide variety of information technology consultants who provide consulting, implementation, support, training, strategic planning, and business analysis services. Member firms are independent, proposing only to do work that is within their core competence, and not being unduly influenced by any vendor or product.  ICCA member firms abide by a Code of Ethics as well as Standards and Practices.

ICCA is a member-based not-for-profit society managing the standards, body of knowledge and professional practice for Independent Computer Consultants.

InfraGard is a non-profit alliance created with the goal of increasing our Nation's security through enhanced awareness, communication, and cooperation between the companies and agencies that comprise the critical infrastructure of our country. The Maryland Chapter, started in 1999, now has over 300 registered members, who meet every other month at different venues across the Maryland region.

The InfraGard program is an essential part of the nationwide outreach effort of the FBI's Cyber Division. The program provides a mechanism for two-way information sharing about intrusion incidents and system vulnerabilities and provides a channel for the FBI to disseminate analytical threat products to the private sector.

AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization provides avenues for its members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the IS field, all in an effort to become more effective in rapidly changing, technological careers.

Ethics is an important part of AITP membership. The AITP Code of Ethics is a standard that reminds and binds members as technology professionals. These ideals are principles that all members should hold as a basis for their everyday careers.  AITP's Standards of Conduct expand on the Code of Ethics and address tenets that apply to the profession.

ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences, and applications of information technology. With a world-wide membership ACM is a leading resource for computing professionals and students working in the various fields of Information Technology, and for interpreting the impact of information technology on society.

CIS is a non-profit enterprise whose mission is to help organizations reduce the risk of business and e-commerce disruptions resulting from inadequate technical security controls. 

CIS members develop and encourage the widespread use of security configuration benchmarks through a global consensus process involving participants from the public and private sectors.

The IT Compliance Institute (ITCi) strives to be a global authority on the role of technology in business governance and regulatory compliance. Through comprehensive education, research, and analysis related to emerging government statutes and affected business and technology practices, it helps organizations overcome the challenges posed by today's regulatory environment and find new ways to turn compliance efforts into capital opportunities.

TiE stands for "The Innovative Ecosystem" and is a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals. Founded in 2000, TiE-DC is the Washington area's largest organization of entrepreneurs, dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, from Richmond to New York.

TiE-DC passionately believes entrepreneurship is the key to economic development/job growth, and puts forward a bold agenda to expand the base of entrepreneurs, surface new business opportunities by industry sector/emerging platforms, and enhance management training to increase the likelihood of success.
