The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)® is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. |

The Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA) represents a wide variety of information technology consultants who provide consulting, implementation, support, training, strategic planning, and business analysis services. Member firms are independent, proposing only to do work that is within their core competence, and not being unduly influenced by any vendor or product. ICCA member firms abide by a Code of Ethics as well as Standards and Practices. ICCA is a member-based not-for-profit society managing the standards, body of knowledge and professional practice for Independent Computer Consultants. |

InfraGard is a non-profit alliance created with the goal of increasing our Nation's security through enhanced awareness, communication, and cooperation between the companies and agencies that comprise the critical infrastructure of our country. The Maryland Chapter, started in 1999, now has over 300 registered members, who meet every other month at different venues across the Maryland region. The InfraGard program is an essential part of the nationwide outreach effort of the FBI's Cyber Division. The program provides a mechanism for two-way information sharing about intrusion incidents and system vulnerabilities and provides a channel for the FBI to disseminate analytical threat products to the private sector. |

AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization provides avenues for its members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the IS field, all in an effort to become more effective in rapidly changing, technological careers. Ethics is an important part of AITP membership. The AITP Code of Ethics is a standard that reminds and binds members as technology professionals. These ideals are principles that all members should hold as a basis for their everyday careers. AITP's Standards of Conduct expand on the Code of Ethics and address tenets that apply to the profession. |
